Three teams in hunt for 14 division crown

Soccer Cup after the afternoon matches yesterday saw North Village edge by Devonshire Colts 4-3 and PHC win by default over Somerset.

Village, Colts and PHC all had two points going into last night's matches but with Somerset having withdrawn it leaves three teams in the group with the winners advancing to the final and the second and third place teams playing each other to determine the other final spot.

In under 19 division matches yesterday Millfield, who were leading Somerset Trojans 8-0 on Monday when referee Richard Knight abandoned the contest because of rough play on the part of Somerset players, were beaten 4-2 by PHC yesterday while Somerset and Devonshire Colts drew 2-2 in the other match.

PHC are on top of the four team group with three points from two matches with Millfield and Colts tied on two points and Somerset on one point. The winner of this group plays the third-placed team and second plays fourth in today's two playoff matches.

All matches today are play-off matches, except the 10.30 a.m. match at Bernard Park which is an under 16 group match between Village and Somerset.

Devonshire Colts won the under 12 group with six points with North Village second on four and Somerset third on two points. Hamilton Parish were bottom with no points. In today's play-offs at 10.45 a.m. at Berkeley, Colts meet Somerset and Village play Parish.
