Cruise lines keep visitor numbers buoyant

Leading the charge are the ships handled in Bermuda by Meyer Agencies with the Norweigan Majesty arriving yesterday with 1,691 passengers, and the Zenith with 1,646 people berthing in Hamilton.

The Horizon arrived on Monday with 1,625 passengers.

Meyer's other cruise ship, the Crown Dynasty arrived last Friday with 829 people on board and departed on Monday.

The Bermuda Islander arrived this week with 106 containers including 22 refrigerated containers, one chassis, and one boat. It will sail tomorrow.

The Somers Isle has had a small change in its schedule this week and will arrive in Bermuda on Sunday.

John S. Darrell Ltd. reported that the Nordic Empress arrived in Dockyard yesterday with 1,837 people on board and the Pacific Princess went to St.

George's with 648 passengers.

And Container Ship Management's Oleander arrived on Sunday with a very large load of containers and other cargo.

There were 147 containers, 39 refrigerated, two MAAFI, eight cars, one tractor, two office trailers, and one boat.
