Disputes Tribunal, the board set up to hear the dispute between Bermuda Forwarders and the Bermuda Industrial Union.

He is to be replaced by Mr. Laurence Seibel, an American arbitrator who sits as deputy chairman of the Permanent Arbitration Board.

Labour Minister the Hon. Irving Pearman said the lawyer resigned because of work commitments.

Mr. Seibel has had extensive involvement in the Bermuda labour scene. In 1991, he arbitrated a new contract between Government and its blue collar unionised workers.

Mr. Pearman said he expected the Disputes Tribunal's hearings into the Bermuda Forwarders-BIU dispute to proceed as scheduled at the end of February.
