Police stopped him in Fairylands where he told the officer he was speeding because his tyre was starting to go flat.

He was arrested after a check revealed that he had been taken off the road from August, 1990, until August this year.

He was fined $350 for driving while disqualified and suspended for a further 18 months.

For speeding, he was fined $350 and disqualified from driving all vehicles for 12 months.

He was also caught driving while disqualified on July 3 in Devonshire and was fined $400 and suspended for another 18 months.
