Prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy said Palmer had walked up to a uniformed officer in St. George's and used foul language at him and a woman.

He was warned about the offence, but responded: "I'm not (expletive) swearing,'' Insp. Duffy said.

Palmer told magistrate the Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp he was mad at Police because they had "busted into my house with guns''.

"They told me to hit the floor,'' he said.

Mrs. Mapp said if that was true, Palmer should have made a complaint to the Commissioner instead of taking matters into his own hands.

"You can not go around behaving like that,'' she said.
