yesterday -- despite slipping to a one-over par 72 in the second round.
Pearman, who opened with a 69 on Monday, again carded the lowest score of the 16 Island pros entered and was one of only five to break 80 at blustery Port Royal.
Pearman, who won last year's tournament at Mid Ocean Club by a whopping 26 strokes, enters today's third round with a two-round total of 141 and a ten-shot bulge over Eardley Jones and 15 over third-place Lloyd James.
Jones shot 80 yesterday to go with his first-round 71 while James had an 82 to go with Monday's 74.
Derek Douglas was right behind Pearman with a 75 yesterday but still stands 17 shots off the lead.
