The accident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. when the vehicle, which was near Coral Beach Club, apparently swerved to avoid hitting a cat.

Extensive damage was caused to the blue Mazda van which landed on its side.

The driver, a 29-year-old Warwick man, and the passenger, a 43-year-old Pembroke man who was travelling in the rear of the van, were unharmed.
