have been strengthened with the release of a new newsletter.

The Link for Tourism Professionals has sent out its first issue of "Link'' to its members this month.

The newsletter will be sent out every other month to the hotel employees and managers in the group with information on The Link's education programmes, committee updates, industry news, social events and member comments. The group's committees cover the areas of member education; industry communications; school outreach; social; and membership, sponsorship and finances. The eight-page newsletter reports that the education committee has been working on making resources available for members who wish to further their learning and career opportunities; developing members' skills and knowledge, and establishing a guest speaker programme.

The social committee is following up its successful inaugural event at the Oasis Nightclub with a Pirates Cruise and a beach barbecue.

The newsletter also includes a membership form to attract new members who can also call 232-1847 if they are interested in joining. Anyone involved in the hospitality industry can be a member for $15.

The Link, a Monitor Company initiative, has the mandate to create social and learning opportunities for people within the tourism industry.
