Gallery to feature American artists American International Company Ltd. will sponsor the Bermuda National Gallery's upcoming show of American Impressionist
January 9, 1998, and is entitled Light, Air and Colour: American Impressionist Paintings from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. About 35 paintings from the Academy -- the oldest art museum and school in North America -- will be featured in the exhibition. Dr. Sylvia Yount of the Pennsylvania Academy will hold public lectures on American impressionism on September 24 and 25. AICO president Joe Johnson said that the timing of the exhibition was a perfect opportunity for his company -- which will be celebrating 50 years of business in Bermuda.
