discrimination in the workplace is on the verge of being made public.

Commission for Unity and Racial Equality chairman Kenneth Spurling said a new Code of Practice was in the hands of Human Affairs Minister Jerome Dill. He would not comment on it until the Minister first examined it.

He said it had been with Mr. Dill for a couple of days after being delayed in its preparation because some of the organisations it had been sent to were slow in getting back with their responses to it.

The Code is designed to illustrate equal opportunity policies in the areas of recruitment, training and promoting staff regardless of race, gender or disability.

It will also contain measures designed to prevent unfair and unlawful discrimination.
