KBB is on the world-wide web

world-wide web at www.kbb.bm. Our site contains a vast array of information in respect of KBB, its role in the community and activities that support our ongoing effort to present the proliferation of refuse both in Bermuda and globally.

Our site has been designed to encourage greater access to our organisation and to provide up to the minute information on KBB events.

As the use of the internet becomes more commonplace, KBB has aggressively stepped up its online presence and has secured its place in cyberspace. Our website is the beginning of an electronic strategy that will permit us to better serve our members and the community.

Through electronic information distribution along with traditional means, all segments of our membership community can be kept up to speed with KBB's progress, developments and future plans. Our website, www.kbb.bm, will also allow the global conservation community the ability to keep monitor the very important work being done by KBB in Bermuda.

KBB's statement of purpose is to do anything possible to prevent the proliferation of litter. In keeping with this statement of purpose, KBB where possible, will replace traditional means of correspondence by electronic communication.

Evidence of this can be found now on our website in several areas. Potential members may now sign up to join the organization via electronic submission.

Our membership publication "News Litter'' is now available in electronic form and in an unprecedented move, participants wishing to sign up for KBB sanctioned clean-ups can do it electronically! This feature, found by clicking on the sign-up area for the 1999 marine Clean-up, is a must see! KBB over the balance of the year will be updating its membership data based to include active e-mail addresses and will be corresponding with its members to ascertain their desire to have paper based documents replaced with e-versions! We strongly encourage all of our members that have access to the internet and e-mail to consider the benefits of receiving electronic news and information! We are very proud of the wonderful work that has gone into the development of www.kbb.bm and are sure that you will find our site a very important tool going forward (so please bookmark it)! Of course, any comments on how we can improve our website to better meet the needs of our members or the community would be greatly appreciated and can be forwarded via e-mail via our website.

We are delighted to extend our invitation to you to visit www.kbb.bm and look forward to communicating in the future via the web and e-mail!
