White set to defend fitted dinghy crown

their fitted dinghy crown tomorrow, when the series of races for the Coronation Cup begins in St. George's harbour.

They will be up against four other boats, including last year's runner-up Elizabeth , skippered by Alan Powell.

Contest will be skippered by Martin Mello, Victory by David Hillier and Challenger by Martin Siese.

Echo which pulled out last year because of a shortage of funds will not participate this year.

The opening race of the season will start at 11.00 a.m., with two further races following at 1.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m.

Rudy Bailey in Temptation won the West End Sailboat Club's Game Fish Inn Trophy on Sunday, finishing with two firsts and a second in the three-race series.

Gladwin Lambert in Melody won the first race with Bailey second and Howard Simmons in My New Mary third.

Bailey, Lambert and Simmons finished first, second and third in the second race and finished in the same order in the third race.
