Peniston promises to return
December to face charges of bankruptcy, his lawyer Ms Victoria Pearman said yesterday.
Last week a Puisne Judge lifted an arrest warrant on condition that he appear in court on December 19.
Peniston failed to show up at his last court date on July 25 as a result of a misunderstanding, Ms Pearman said.
He is believed to be in England where he was studying law at the University of Buckingham. The university suspended Peniston after finding out that he was wanted in Bermuda for a bankruptcy hearing.
Puisne Judge the Hon. Mrs. Justice Wade ordered that Peniston "personally attend for public examination in the Supreme Court on December 19 1994, and if he fails to attend the warrant will be reinstated or a fresh one will be issued''.
Peniston is also asked to provide full details of all UK bank accounts, copies of all foreign exchange documents and documents concerning the funding of his education.
The initial warrant was made after Peniston failed to show up for bankruptcy proceedings, having been taken to court by his former business partner Mr.
Robert Thomson.
