Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said a motorcyclist sustained a broken wrist and leg injuries following an accident on St. David's Road around 6.30 p.m. on Friday.

The cycle was emerging onto St. David's Road from the Number Two Baselands gate when it collided with a Volkswagen which was overtaking another vehicle.

Extensive damage was caused to the cycle but only slight damage was caused to the car.

Three people were taken the hospital following a two-cycle accident.

P.c. Venning said the mishap took place on Cox's Hill in Pembroke around 3.20 p.m. Saturday.

Two cycles, which were travelling in opposite directions, were involved in a head-on collision.

An 18-year-old Pembroke teen suffered a split lip and broken teeth, cuts and abrasions. Meanwhile a 38-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman from Hamilton Parish suffered head injuries.

`WANTED' MAN ARRESTED CRM `Wanted' man arrested A "wanted'' man was arrested by Police following a violent struggle early Saturday morning.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the incident took place around 3.45 a.m. when Task Force officers approached the 23-year-old man who was wanted for questioning in connection with an incident which took place earlier this month.

The man, who was sitting in a parked car on Court Street, became violent as the officers approached and started lashing out.

The man was eventually detained and taken to Hamilton Police Station for questioning.

COURT STREET SCUFFLE CRM Court Street scuffle A Friday night disturbance resulted in a 23-year-old man being arrested.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said Task Force officers were called to a disturbance at the junction of Court and Dundonald Streets around 11.30 p.m.

The officers had to separate two women who had become involved in a heated argument.

While at the scene a man, not connected with the initial incident, became abusive towards the officers and was arrested for using offensive words.

A violent struggle ensued but the offender was finally subdued and taken into custody.

YOUTHS ARRESTED CRM Youths arrested Four youths were arrested Saturday on suspicion of causing wilful damage to a Paget bus shelter.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the incident took place shortly after midnight on Middle Road, near Ice Queen, involving youths between the ages of 15 to 20 years of age.

It is alleged the youths were causing damage with spray paint. They were taken into custody where they were questioned and then released on bail into the custody of their parents.

SHOPLIFTING ARRESTS CRM Shoplifting arrests A group of teenage girls were arrested on Friday on suspicion of shoplifting.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said a 15-year-old and three 14-year-olds were arrested for allegedly shoplifting from the Phoenix Centre on Reid Street.

The girls were spotted around 4.30 p.m. removing items from the cosmetic section and placing them in a bag.

The girls left the store without paying but were stopped outside on Reid Street and detained until Police arrived.

The girls were arrested and questioned in the presence of their parents before being released on bail.

WARWICK MAN ARRESTED CRM Warwick man arrested A 26-year-old Warwick man was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of stealing a cycle.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said Police were on patrol around 3.30 a.m.

when they spotted a cycle near Border Lane in Pembroke.

On seeing Police, the man turned around and attempted to evade the Police by riding up a dirt track. But he lost control of the cycle and fell to the ground.

The rider was pursued on foot by Police and was eventually taken into custody.
