*** The Alliance Francaise of Bermuda recently held its French immersion scholarship contest where they invited all students of at least 16 years of age who were learning French in schools to enter the competition.

The competition was two parts -- one oral and one written. The written part consisted of an essay, where the student wrote about their favourite memory or memories and the oral part consisted of a series of questions.

This year's winner is 17-year-old Jody Moniz from BHS.

Unlike last years winner from Berkeley Institute who went to Paris Jody will be sent for a three week French immersion course in Montreal, Canada, especially designed for teenagers.
