Labour & Home Affairs Minister the Hon. Irving Pearman has said he will look into a system of re-registration every five years, but added it was not a priority.

Mrs. Lois Browne-Evans, the Shadow Minister for Legislative & Home Affairs, said last week she plans to introduce a motion in the House of Assembly calling for an end to annual voter registration, replacing it with registration after every boundary commission review.

The commission reviews districts and the number of eligible voters in each side every seven years.
