Heather Lorraine Robinson had been responsible for typing and handling the cash register, it was claimed at Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Prosecutor Sgt. Earl Kirby said Robinson stole $2,948.55 between October and December last year from the Victoria Street association.
She took money from the "petty cash box'' to support her drug habit, he added.
Sgt. Kirby said 35-year-old Robinson apologised for the theft, and began attending a substance abuse programme.
Robinson, of North Shore Road, Pembroke, admitted theft.
Magistrate the Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp ordered a social inquiry report, and adjourned the case until March 31.
