Golf professional Mr. Kim Swan steps into the chair to replace Mr. Wayne Furbert who has resigned after two years as chairman to devote himself fully to seeking election as the United Bermuda Party candidate in Hamilton West.

Other new members are Ms Carol Ashton, Mr. Peter Edney, Mr. George E. Morton, Jr., and Mr. Canard Pascoe.

Also gone from the council are Mr. Jerome Dill, now a Senator, Mr. Keith Godfrey, Mr. Bryan Simmons, who has moved to the US, and Mr. Hubert Swan.

The committee is rounded out by Mr. Landro C. Bascome, Mr. Benjamin DeSilva, Mr. Guilden Gilbert Jr., Bermuda Council on Alcoholism representative Ms Pat Haycock, Capt. H. Edward Williams Sr., representatives from the Police, Public Works, and the Corporation of Hamilton, and Road Safety Officer Ms Laura Smith, the only ex-officio member.
