Addressing the problem, the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation (BSBDC) has hosted two networking events this year.

"Networking is a smart business strategy and cannot be overlooked in the marketplace,'' said project manager with the Corporation, Carol-Anne Stines.

"Serious networking or first stage partnering, can require an attitude adjustment as parties start to form a relationship of teamwork, cooperation and good faith performance,'' she added.

"Today's entrepreneur must understand the basic rules of networking, one of which is quickly following through and delivering on promises.'', A third opportunity for its members to hone their skills in this area, the BSBDC will hold a networking Christmas cocktail reception on Thursday December 14 at the BIU Hall.

All small business owners are invited to attend the free event but are urged to register with the BSBDC first.
