Winter Olympics -- and his younger brother Colm is this year's Rhodes Scholar.

Mr. Singleton is due to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree from New Jersey's Princeton University this year.

The Secretary of the Bermuda Rhodes Scholar Selection Committee, John Collis, announced the award last Friday.

Mr. Singleton, who will be 22 this month, previously attended Saltus Grammar School and the Hotchkiss School, Connecticut.

He will attend New College, Oxford, to read for a Bachelor's degree in Jurisprudence.

Mr. Singleton also studied advanced French at the Sorbonne in Paris in 1995.

In 1996 he studied in Rome. He has represented Bermuda in the World Schools Debating Championships and Princeton at the Intercollegiate Debate Championships.

Colm Singleton
