PHC have plans for Meshack

line-up tonight when they take on Devonshire Colts in the semifinals of the Friendship Trophy at BAA field (9 p.m.).

Wade recently returned to the Island after being let go by from his contract with Third Division Club Hereford United and coach Jack Castle indicated a strong desire to have him available to play.

"I'm banking on getting Meshach and include him in the team,'' said Castle.

"They've released them (Wade and fellow Bermudian Elliott Jennings) but haven't informed the English FA, which prevents them from playing locally.

"I think he can help to boost a lot of the guys spirit-wise. He's around their age and they consider him a professional and look forward to playing with him.'' If he is available it would present Castle with number of options over where to play him, whether it is in midfield or defence.

In any case, Castle said that there would be some changes from the side that lost to Boulevard on Saturday.

Leading scorer Kenny Mills limped of with a reccurence of a sprained ankle and is listed as questionable.

With their title hopes all but lost, PHC and Devonshire Colts can be expected to put even more effort into tonight's match.

Their last hopes of success rest in the cup competitions, with PHC in the hunt for their last cup while Colts also have the FA Cup in which to salvage something from the season after a recent bad slump in the league.

The Zebras have already reached two finals this season, losing both the Martonmere Cup and Dudley Eve Trophy to Somerset Trojans.

Tonight's opening match sees a revived BAA team taking on rivals Vasco in the semifinal of the Shield. In the last round, BAA produced a major shock when they beat Southampton Rangers 1-0 and Vasco certainly will not be taking them lightly. Vasco, having clinched promotion on Sunday, are still in contention for the League and Shield double.

While BAA are unbeaten in their last three games, Vasco should remain firm favourites, having taken their goal tally for the season to 50 with their 5-0 thrashing of Social Club on Sunday.

Another attempt will be made to settle the first FA Cup semifinal between Dandy Town and Boulevard on Thursday night at Devonshire Rec. (8.00). The replay was postponed last week because of the funeral of former Dandy Town player Jerome Belboda.

The second FA Cup semifinal between Somerset and Devonshire Colts will be held on March 27.
