Dr. Yount to lecture

to Bermuda in September to lecture on the National Gallery's exhibition "Light, Air and Colour: American Impressionist Paintings'' and on American Impressionism in general.

Dr. Yount received her degrees from New York University and the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr.

Yount has previously served as a curatorial research assistant for the American art department of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and in the administration of Boston's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

She has lectured and published widely on late nineteenth and early twentieth century American art and culture.

Dr. Yount will open the Fall Lunchtime Lecture Series on September 24 at 12.30 p.m. with a slide lecture on the exhibition.

On Thursday, September 25 at the Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club Dr. Yount will be speaking on the Pennsylvania Academy and its collections.

*** Members of the public have been invited to take a tour of Cedarbridge Academy during the month of August.

The tour has been organised by the Ministry of Works and Engineering and those who are interested are asked to make arrangements by telephone only. The tours will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Cedarbridge Academy is the Island's first senior secondary school in Prospect, Devonshire, with more than 1000 students set to begin classes next month.
