into a hotel company's bid to stop the $130 million Bermuda Financial Centre Limited being built.

The court action has been brought by Hamilton Properties Limited, owner of the Princess Hotel.

The on-off hearing was originally due to start last Thursday, but was postponed because of the overcrowded court calendar.

Yesterday BFCL president the Hon. Michael Winfield said the delay had put on hold plans to implode the old Bermudiana Hotel, site of the proposed development.

"The delay to the project is a great shame. Everything is delayed pending the court hearing.'' He added: "Obviously it is very disappointing, but that is just the way it is.'' Mr. Winfield said two days had been set aside for the hearing.
