"The Harrisburg coach advised me that it would be to my advantage to move on and that he didn't want me to be just sitting around and waiting for a chance to play,'' said Bascome yesterday.

"He admitted that he would really have liked to have kept me there but noted that it would not do my career any good in the meantime. It hurt me to leave them because I liked there, it was like home to me.'' Bascome will play with Denver until the end of the season upon which time he has not ruled out a return to Harrisburg.
