Mr.Vincent Meerabux will today be sworn in as Bermuda's fourth Supreme Court justice.

Mr. Meerabux, who is little known outside legal circles, has worked in the AG's Chambers for more than a decade, providing legal advice and drafting legislation on a full time basis.

He has served as an acting Puisne Judge in the Supreme Court for a number of weeks following Sir James Astwood's resignation as Chief Justice and the appointment of former Puisne Judge the Hon. Mr Austin Ward to the post.

Attorney General Mr. Walter Maddocks said he had "high admiration'' for Mr.

Meerabux and felt he was more than able to handle the job. The swearing-in takes place at Government House at 9 a.m.
