known to have died of AIDS in Bermuda since 1982.

Before he died, Reginald wanted the rest of Bermuda to fully understand the agony of AIDS and send a warning to them that the disease really could happen to anyone.

And so in the months before his death, Reginald talked bravely and frankly to RG Magazine about his life, what it is like to have AIDS and about his preparations for death.

His moving story is the cover feature in this month's issue of RG Magazine, free inside today's edition of The Royal Gazette , and, coming just a month after World AIDS Day, serves as a poignant reminder of the tragedy and scale of the disease that continues to claim Bermudians at an alarming rate.

This month's RG also features a profile of top runner Kavin Smith on the eve of International Race Weekend, an interview with jazz singer Sandra Reaves, one of the stars of this year's Bermuda Festival and there's a light-hearted look back at 1993.
