away virtually unscathed yesterday after falling from scaffolding.

The accident occurred just before 9.30 a.m.

Construction manager of the site for Somers Construction, Roy Holvik, told The Royal Gazette he was still waiting to be briefed by the foreman on the cause of the accident.

But he said he understood that both men sustained minor injuries -- one received a cut to the forehead -- and were released following treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Last May, Gringley Construction worker Dennis Bell was crushed under equipment weighing thousands of pounds at the Prospect site.

He was pinned to the ground by a bucket laden with concrete.

But Health and Safety inspector Harry D. Powell yesterday said the site was one of the "cleanest'' sites he has seen. "That accident could have been a lot worse if that site was untidy and those guys would have fell on something,'' he said.

"I have looked very carefully at the materials used. The suspended scaffolding system was well intact.''
