Impaired driver banned
banned from driving all motor vehicles for one year.
Alvere Dallas, of Morgan's Mews, Warwick, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to impaired driving.
Crown counsel Lesley Basden said Police discovered the woman inside her car shortly after midnight on July 12 on Harbour Road, Paget.
According to the Police report, the car's left indicator was on and Dallas's keys were in the ignition.
Officers reached in through the car's open window and nudged Dallas -- who was mumbling incoherently -- several times before she awoke, said Ms Basden.
Dallas then slowly got out of the car and, without having been asked to do so, attempted to open the trunk of her car.
She was taken to Hamilton Police Station, but failed to provide a breath sample.
Acting Senior Magistrate Edward King also fined Dallas $600.
