That's number one as in the Island tennis rankings, when he meets ninth-ranked Nick Frost in the final of the Grotto Bay Open at 12.30 p.m.

Way is acutally co-ranked number one with Gregg Frigerio but with the latter skipping the tournament, Way has the chance to take top billing heading into the Bermuda Open championships next monnth.

In the semi-finals, Way dropped Davis Cup team-mate James Collieson 6-2, 6-2 on Monday while yesterday Frost blitzed John Johnston 6-2, 6-0.

The ladies final will pit number two seed Elizabeth Stewart against the winner of today's 6 p.m. semi-final between top seed Diane Olchowick and Monique Fernier.

Way will team up with his brother Brian in the men's doubles final against the Collieson/Frost pairing.

Stewart will hoping for a second title when she and partner Ailsa Frost meet top-seeded Wendy Frost and Kelly Holland.

In the only final today, Mark Ray will meet Vernal Davis for the senior men's title at 5.45 p.m.

Tomorrow at 5.45 p.m. is the senior men's doubles final.

Many of the top players opted to skip the tournament in order to concentrate on the Bermuda Open.
