Police are now investigating the single-vehicle accident, which occurred early yesterday morning in Dockyard. Two visitors were travelling north along Freeport Road when the male driver lost control of the vehicle outside the Pirate's Landing restaurant.

The driver was in stable condition in intensive care at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. His passenger escaped with a bruise.
