is appealing for a volunteer youth coordinator.

The position would help instil the values and principles of the Red Cross into youth as well as basic first aid and accident preparedness.

Other activities included a weekend camp at Paget Island in June, adopted grandparents for the youth, kite flying at Easter, carol singing and Christmas decorating.

Red Cross Director Ann Spencer-Arscott said: "We used to have a presence in the schools -- like a club, after school or during lunch hours.

"We're looking to revamp (the position/programme) so we can do it any way. We just want to get the youth involved.'' Mrs. Arscott said multiple problems that plague modern youth could be addressed in a humanitarian organisation whose goal is the complete care of all people.
