In a statement released yesterday officials said that there had been an increase in vandalism and theft at the grounds recently.

Officials noted that the curly-leafed parsley that was taken was grown only for decorative purposes and it could have been heavily sprayed with pesticides and should not be eaten.

Bermuda National Parks Regulations prohibit anyone from removing, uprooting or injuring any plants in the park area.
