Simmons' body was found at about 10.40 a.m. on Sunday inside the Pembroke dump gates. It is understood his throat was slit, and he was discovered near a drugs area.
Police yesterday announced for the first time a murder investigation was under way. "The investigation is still in its early stages,'' said Police spokeswoman Sgt. Roseanda Jones.
