Prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy told the Court that on July 12 Derek D. Mallard, of North Shore Road was seen falling off his bike at the junction of Stokes Point and Mullet Bay Road in St. George's.
Police were informed and later attended the area.
A breathalyser test showed Mallard had 200 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Mallard said: "I just came to the Island and I got carried away.'' Mr. Judge banned Mallard from all vehicles for a year.
