Mrs. Girling joined Phoenix Stores Ltd. in September of last year and has been indispensable to Mr. Grundmuller ever since. "Phoenix Stores Ltd.'s marketing strategy is tailored to provide flexible marketing and promotional programmes to suit product need,'' she said. "Our marketing programmes combine advertising, in-store promotions, press and electronic media placement and are co-ordinated increasingly with the full support of distributors and manufacturers. "We are very busy here and sometimes it seems every task grows arms and legs. However, we have tremendous team spirit in our company and each task is achievable through the endeavours of our associates and management.'' As busy as she is kept, Mrs. Girling said she loves the challenges she must face on a daily basis. "It's a challenging, fast moving job that offers exciting opportunities to highlight our company's commitment,'' she said.

Mrs. Girling was born and educated in the United Kingdom where she was an elementary teacher for seven years teaching English and physical education. She then transferred to Canada where she worked at one of the largest colleges in Ontario, Canada for seven years where she was responsible for its Business Development/Public Relations department. She also spent eight years working for the Ontario Government in the area of communications, training and marketing. Prior to joining Phoenix Stores Ltd., Mrs. Girling was employed for two years at the Bermuda College where she was responsible for setting up the department of Business Development Services for the Faculty of Continuing and Applied Studies.
