the British Insurance Law Association annual book prize.

Mr. Woloniecki teamed up with UK-based lawyer Terry O'Neill to produce the 800-page The Law of Reinsurance, published by Sweet & Maxwell in London.

Mr. Woloniecki is head of the litigation department of Milligan-Whyte & Smith.

Mr. O'Neill is a partner in the insurance and reinsurance group at the London office of Clifford Chance.

Mr. Woloniecki said he would be unable to attend the award ceremony in London but Mr. O'Neill would be there to accept the prize.

The book is billed as a "comprehensive guide to both the law and practice in this increasingly complex and important area'' and covers "the general principles of the reinsurance contract, examines particular reinsurance agreements including financial reinsurance, and deals with all relevant areas of agency law''.

The book also covers recent English and Bermuda court decisions in the area.
