In Magistrates' Court yesterday, Stafan Montague Davis, who lives in a Salvation Army shelter, admitted possessing 0.11 grams of cannabis.

Sgt. Kenrick James, prosecuting, told the court that early on March 14, Police officers were on patrol near Court Street when they investigated a derelict building.

They saw the accused on the upper floor and apprehended him after he tried to run away. The Police searched him and found the marijuana.

Davis, 24, said he used the drug for his condition.

Senior Magistrate, the Wor. Will Francis, fined him $100.
