A story in yesterday's paper incorrectly stated that Immigration will not grant New Queen Restaurant owner Ken Fong approval to import Chinese workers.

The restaurant has experienced trouble getting new staff due to Hong Kong's reversion to China and problems residents there are having in obtaining visas from the US, UK, and Canada to Bermuda.

By the end of the year Bermuda will only have two Chinese restaurants.

The New Queen Restaurant on Par-la-Ville Road will close its doors after 30 years in business.

Owner Ken Fong said staffing problems forced him to make the move.

Immigration will not grant owner Mr. Fong approval to import Chinese workers.

"I'm sad,'' he said. "But I have no other choice.'' The restaurant will shut down in early January.
