is holding its first community fair this week.

The Inter Agency Planning Committee's Community Fair of Service Agencies started yesterday and will run from to Saturday at City Hall.

The event highlights Public Health Week, with its theme of Partnership for Community Health, and coincides with Government's focus on April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The fair brings Government and private groups under these banners.

Chairperson Martha Dismont said the Committee began meeting in 1995 with the purposes of: Uniting private and Government agencies around mutual interests; Sharing strategies and information; Reducing the duplication of services; and Informing the public collectively regarding outcomes and objectives.
