The culprits are believed to have gained entry through a window that was smashed on the southern side of the building.

Once inside they removed two cash registers situated behind the counter. The tills had been emptied earlier and it is believed they contained very little cash.

Police are asking anyone who saw any suspicious activity to contact central CID at 295-0011.

Meanwhile, an employee at St. Brendan's Hospital reported that a small window in one of the offices was smashed yesterday evening by someone who threw a bottle.
