Marshall, 32, is alert enough to take his meals while his entertainment has been restricted to watching television.

It is expected that he will remain in ICU at least for this weekend before moving on to a general ward.

The acting national team captain was rushed to the hospital late Tuesday night suffering from chest pains. It was later diagnosed as a mild heart attack.

ICU has received several calls inquiring about Marshall's health but at present only family members are allowed to visit him. Medical tests are ongoing.

The national team, which will travel to Barbados for a 10-day training programme next Friday, continues its preparation with a practice match at Royal Naval field today at 10 a.m.
