The attack happened at about 3.00.p.m. on Mullet Bay Road, St. George's. The victim was able to make his way to hospital but released after treatment.

FIGHT OVER DEBT CRM Fight over debt A 34-year-old Smith's Parish man was reportedly assaulted by two men on Monday morning. The victim stated he was involved in a fight with the two men over an outstanding debt.

One man reportedly held him in a headlock while the other allegedly beat him about the head with a piece of board.

The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

In a separate incident, a 42-year-old Hamilton Parish man reported that he was attacked by two men brandishing a machete and a garden rake on Monday evening.

The alleged attack occurred after a row at a Crawl Hill residence before 9 p.m.

A neighbour is thought to have come to his aid.

CRASH BLOCKS ROAC AC Crash blocks road A section of South Road in Paget was blocked following a four-car Christmas Eve pile-up. The accident happened near the Botanical Gardens at about 10 p.m.

One vehicle overturned in the smash, although nobody was seriously injured in the incident.
