This week's squash player-of-the-week is Norman Furtado, currently ranked number three in Bermuda.
By day the 36-year-old works as a golf course superintendent, but in his spare time can be seen blazing about the courts in Devonshire at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association facility.
Furtado has eight years experience in the sport and represented the Island as a member of the Bermuda A team at the Northern Caribbean Team Championships held in Jamaica during 1990.
He is slated to take on that role again for this year's event to be hosted on local shores.
Furtado says his favourite shot is the forehand drop-shot because of the element of surprise it brings.
"It (drop-shot) is very deceptive as it catches the opponent off balance,'' he said. "It gives me a lot of pleasure when I have moved my opponent out of position and can finish the rally with a crisp drop.
Furtado also discussed other elements of his game.
"My fitness is my strong point. I enjoy a fast-paced, action-filled game.
"My backhand needs working on. I have problems lofting the ball.'' John McRury, Cayman Island's number one player, is the one Furtado admires most for his entertaining and aggressive style of play.
"He's always hurtling for the ball.'' Friday nights at the squash courts present an unique opportunity for the public to experience the game of squash with `club night'.
All interested persons are welcome, including non-members, to attend the popular event which utilises a 20-minute game format where players can test their skills against a number of opponents.
