Island's legal community. Michelle St. Jane, wife of Steve and mother of Cabe, Auralee, Storm and Cheleby Rose, was called to the bar during a ceremony before Puisne Judge Norma Wade-Miller in the Supreme Court.

Bermudian-born Mrs. St. Jane earned her Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Waikati in New Zealand and was honoured as the Island's Woman Achiever of the Year in 1996.

She was admitted to the bar in New Zealand last May and is now employed as assistant legal consul to the Bank of Bermuda's corporate trust department.

Described as enthusiastic, determined and intelligent by lawyer Karen Malcolm, Mrs. St. Jane thanked all the "angels'' who supported her throughout the years.
