OJ shines again in youth cup

tumbling from the Youth World Cup plate competition in Sri Lanka following their second loss in the group stage.

The Americas team, featuring four Bermudians -- Pitcher, Landro Minors, Stephen Outerbridge and Chris Foggo -- as well as several Canadians, Americans and Argentinians, were bowled out for 98 after being set a target of 184 to win by Ireland.

Pitcher was one of the main wicket takers in the Irish innings, finishing with a creditable two for 27 from 10 overs. Pitcher's spell took his haul in the competition to seven wickets in five matches. The youngster has also only conceded just over three runs an over in 40 overs bowled in the tournament.

Fellow Bermudian, opening batsman Chris Foggo was one of only two Americas players to make double figures. He scored 10 in a stay of 29 balls, hitting one boundary. Minors, who had earlier taken one for 16 in 3.5 overs, made three, and Outerbridge, who cost 15 runs from his three overs, made five.

The Americas have a chance to end on a winning note tomorrow when they take on Holland.
