Testament Church of God at 83 North Shore Road to expand facilities for its Sunday School.

The Board, in its latest decision, ruled the Devonshire church failed to provide sufficient information to enable a proper assessment. Specifically the DAB said the Church failed to provide information on: existing and proposed floor plans which clarify how the Sunday School will be accommodated in the proposed roof plan; the number of children and hours of operation; details of other proposed uses apart from the Sunday School, and; the current number of church members.

The DAB also recommended Church officials consult Planning officers for technical guidance prior further applications.

The Church earlier took its plans for the Sunday School addition to the DAB in July of last year, but were turned down for failing to provide adequate information and because the scale of the development was considered detrimental to the area.

Between 85 to 110 students were attending Sunday School services in the Church's one-room sanctuary, The Reverend Dorothy Tuzo told The Royal Gazette at the time.

In other matters, the Bermuda Electric Light Co. got the green light to proceed with the subdivision of four lots on Berkeley Road in Pembroke Parish subject to the protection of existing mature trees and vegetation.

The Board also ruled a comprehensive survey of all existing mature trees and vegetation be carried out before final approval for development could be granted.
