The estimated financial loss caused by the 69 fires the service was called to was $100,320.

The Fire Service's help was also needed in two road traffic accidents, one involving a car in danger of sliding over an embankment and the other an overturned car.

They also attended reports of a sinking boat, people trapped in an elevator, a 14-month-old child locked in a car and several gas cylinder leaks. There were a total of 102 emergency calls for the month. In December of 1991 there were a total of 71 emergency calls.

Pembroke had the most fires, followed by Devonshire and Paget.
