The local outfit, now acting solely as spoilers in the competition, downed the highly regarded Americans 21 -1 .
Yesterday's schedule had them playing eight teams -- six among the top eight positions, with a top 10 finish still not out of the question, as they trailed the 10th place team by just 131 points.
Sweden, the defending champions, continued to lead the division with 71 points and were averaging 204 per game. Second were Finland (68-204), while Canada sat third (61-203). Bermuda had 41 points and a 190 average.
A similar scenario existed for the women, with Bermuda 16th, with 191 points and a 173 average.
Finland stood first (791 -204) followed by United States (761 -205) and Malaysia (72-194).
The competition awards a maximum of three points per match (one point for a win, one point for total pinfall), with a maximum allowance per round of 45 points.
The top three countries in each division -- men and women -- were to qualify for today's stepladder finals.
