Baby seats recalled
which could release during a car crash.
And now the US distributor, Century, is advising locals who may have purchased one of their models of car seat to contact them and order replacement buckles free of charge.
Toys `N' Stuff manager Carol Bromby said as soon as the store heard about the problem it moved to get an advertisement in the paper to warn parents.
The advertisement appears in today's The Royal Gazette and carries the contact number for Century -- 1-800-762-7463.
Ms Bromby explained that the problem with the buckles was discovered during crash testing when some released on impact.
However, she stressed that only those car seats manufactured between September 12, 1995 and May 13, 1996 were affected and no injuries had been reported.
She said Century offered several different models of car seats and the store had sold about 40 in that period.
