The bank's shares fell 50 cents taking the price down to $39.50 once again.

Bank of Butterfield shares gained the 25 cents they lost the day before, closing at $18.75. No other stock changed price.

The index closed down 9.32 points or 0.48 percent to finish at 1,920.74 on a volume of 11,265 worth $399,442.50.
